Our borate based fire retardant is so effective, it actually improves the fire safety of existing construction. While fire roars right through fiberglass, adding cellulose insulation to an un-insulated wood wall increases its fire-rating by 15 minutes.
Cellulose is such an effective fire-barrier that it gives you more flexibility when building: the electrical outlet offset drops from 24 to 3.5 inches, and you can use less drywall and framing, which lowers construction costs while providing improved fire-resistance.
