How do cellulose and glass fiber handle open flame?

In this video, we expose a mocked up wall, one side insulated with cellulose, the other with glass fiber, to the flame from a 400,000 btu torch. While both products have a Class A fire rating, their performance is very different. The cellulose quickly chars and protects what is behind it, while the glass fiber melts.

What's in your cellulose?

In this video we talk about how our Cel-Pak cellulose insulation compares to a competitor's product. Cel-Pak is exceptionally clean, with nothing you don't want in your walls. Watch for the surprise we find in the other bag!
